How we collect, use and protect your personal information when you contact us, use the Project Assessor, or browse this site.
Last updated: July 2026
Crown Building ("we", "us") is committed to handling your personal information carefully and transparently. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. Our registered office is Unit 324-B, The Wenta Business Centre, Colne Way, Watford, WD24 7ND. For anything relating to your data, contact enquiries@crown-building.com or call 020 3675 3999.
When you contact us — through the enquiry form, the Project Assessor, email, telephone or WhatsApp — we collect the details you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, telephone number and information about your project. If you browse the site and accept analytics cookies, we also collect anonymised usage data through Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit and how you found us.
We use your enquiry details to respond to you, assess your project and prepare proposals — processing that is necessary for the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, and for our legitimate interest in running our business. We use analytics data, only with your consent, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
This site sets Google cookies by default, both for analytics (to understand how the site is used) and to support Google advertising features such as measuring and personalising ads. You can decline all of these at any time: use the banner shown on your first visit, or click here to reopen the cookie options. If you decline, analytics stops and any analytics cookies already set are removed, and your choice is remembered for future visits. Declining stops both analytics and advertising data use. Essential technical storage (such as remembering your cookie choice) does not require consent.
Google acts as our processor for analytics. Where a project proceeds, relevant details may be shared with our professional advisers and project consultants under appropriate obligations of confidence. Google may process analytics data outside the UK; where that happens, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses.
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Where you become a client, project records are kept for the periods required by our contractual and legal obligations, typically six years from completion.
You have the right to request access to your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@crown-building.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
